This year, a record 673 applications were received, which marks a 49% increase compared to last year. Under the presidency of journalist, producer, and founder of Néo Québec, Cyrille Ekwalla, the jury—which is made up of 37 independent professionals who work in the culture and media sectors—carried out a serious analysis of the applications divided along various categories. Please note that nominees were evaluated according to their professional activities between September 1, 2022, and August 31, 2023.

“The jury members were delighted to take part in a rigorous process that allowed them to select such remarkable artists and media personalities. I would like to extend my congratulations to the foundation’s entire team, which was behind this colossal undertaking, and to the nominees for their achievements,” declared Cyrille Ekwalla, jury president

BLACK CARPET PRESENTED BY BELL

The not-to-be-missed Black Carpet will be back this year as part of the Soirée Culture on April 27 at Place des Arts’ Espace culturel Georges-Émile-Lapalme. Hosted by Gaël Comtois and broadcast live on the Gala Dynastie’s Facebook page, the Black Carpet is a glamorous experience where dazzling personalities and guests of honour parade by and share their impressions before the prestigious event.

We strongly recommend that guests wear colourful clothes with chic modern African accents to recall the traditional, tribal, and unifying parts of this year’s “Build your Dynastie” theme.
